Designer – Visually Build, Test and Manage Transformations
CloverETL's front end provides a visually intuitive "drag & drop" workspace for creating, modifying and testing data transformations in graphical format; simplifying and streamlining the entire development process. Simply select components from the palette and paste them on to a worksheet to create the graphical representation of a transformation graph.
CloverETL includes more than 40 specialized transformation components that users employ to create and test transformations. In addition, CloverETL's transformation engine welcomes transformations coded in JAVA or any other scripting language, allowing for effortless addition of existing custom transformations.
- Color-coded icons quickly highlight incomplete and incorrect transformations during testing
- Several Wizards help users during transformation assembling
- Visual mapping editor simplifies data reformatting
- Transformation visualization can be easily zoomed; outline view helps navigation in complex graphs; transformations can be searched for components/metadata/other objects
- Data sources and data targets can be "viewed" directly from inside the Designer
- Transformations can be executed&debugged directly from the Designer
CloverETL Designer has been developed as an Eclipse framework plugin and is well integrated with other Eclipse functionality.
